WTF Wednesday

The 70's were truly a wonderful strange beardy time...

Sooo yeah...that was Wizzard and the lead singer who looked like a mix between Santa Claus, Waldo and Svengoolie is Roy Wood who was also one of the founding members of ELO (he left after their debut album). Apparently they had a few minor hits overseas in the 70's and this holiday song has become somewhat of a staple in England. However their unique brand of glam-jazz-rock only lasted two albums.

I'm also quite certain that some of those children had everlasting traumatic scars left on their psyche after joining a freaky Santa Claus on stage...
